Our team is so important and we accomplish a lot together. Our practice had adopted a 'multidisciplinary team' approach, meaning we take a strong collaborative approach with clients. We work together and ask advice of each other while supporting and encouraging each specific discipline. We believe this provides our clients with a more effective service and better outcomes.

Mrs Tess Riley

I completed my Bachelor of Psychological Science with Honours in 2005. Following this I completed an internship at a rural child health service for 2 years - and this is where I developed a strong interest in child and adolescent Psychology. I have since worked at the Department of Child Safety, Disability Services Qld as well as in private practice. I love working with kids and helping children and adolescents  to achieve their true potential is a passion of mine. I’m a creative therapist and enjoy modifying formal treatments such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or Behavioural Therapy in a creative manner so that children and teens are more interested and engaged in the therapy process. I’m particularly interested in treating anxiety disorders, teens who self-harm, children who school refuse and children with ASD.

grad. M Occupational Therapy

Michelle has been practicing as a paediatric occupational therapist for the past 8 years. She has experience working in a variety of settings within QLD and overseas including non-profit organisations, special schools, health, disability and community services. She relocated to the Sunshine Coast over a year ago and was previously working for an early intervention team who provided services for children with disabilities and complex needs.

Michelle is an enthusiastic and committed Occupational Therapist who is passionate about working collaboratively with children and their families.I love getting to know the kids, especially learning about their strengths and interests. This is valuable when working on their goals. There is something special about being given the opportunity to be a part of a family’s journey in supporting their child to be the best that they can be.

I completed my Bachelor of Psychology at CQUniversity in 2006. Since then I’ve worked in multiple settings with clients of all ages and varying presentations. Most of my experience has involved working with families who have children with a disability, complex challenging behaviour and/or anxiety disorders. I’m really passionate about working with families to improve relationships and help children and parents achieve their goals and reach their full potential. As a Mum of two children, I find it really easy to relate to parents (and kids!) and empathise with the challenges that come with parenting. I’m particularly interested in working with young children with behaviour concerns, attachment disorders and teens with anxiety.

B OCC Therapy (HONs)

I have a background in healthcare spanning 17+ years, which lead me to  Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Hons) degree, completed in 2017 at USC. I developed a passion for working with children and their families while volunteering at Burnside State School EDCP, on University placement with Queensland Health Child Development Services and while working in organisations providing early intervention for children with Autism.  I moved from Sydney to the Sunshine Coast five years ago and can proudly say I have recently entered fatherhood myself. What I love about being an Occupational Therapist is the opportunity to help children and families reach their full potential.
