Funding & Rebates

Therapy may be covered or part-covered under certain government schemes. All Abilities is proud to be able to provide services through the following finding and subsidy options:
Medicare Referral
To receive services under Medicare you will require a referral from a General Practitioner, Paediatrician, or Psychiatrist. These medical practitioners will first assess your health needs to ensure a referral to a psychologist or allied health professional is most appropriate for you. Then they will arrange a referral, for which you may state you would prefer a particular psychologist or allied health professional, however the medical practitioner has the final say whom they refer you to.
  • The current rebate for a 1-hour Psychology session is around $86.
  • The current rebate for a 1-hour Speech or OT session is around $52.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
If you have a NDIS funding package (either from Queensland or Interstate), we are able to provide services and therapies under this scheme.

WE WORK WITH:

  • Self-Managed clients (you pay and claim it back yourself)
  • Plan Managed clients (a third party pays your invoices for you)

Helping Children with Autism (HCWA) and Better Start for Children with a Disability (better start)

EARLY INTERVENTION FUNDING
Children under the age of 6 years with an eligible diagnosis can access funding of up to $12,000.00 for services and therapies from registered providers. All Abilities Child & Family Therapy Services is a registered provider for these services. The funding ceases on the child’s seventh birthday.
FUNDING UNDER MEDICARE
Children under the age of 13 years can access HCWA or Better Start specific Medicare items for assessment or intervention. However, these items can only be accessed by a referral from a Paediatrician or Psychiatrist and cease on the child’s 15th birthday.

PRIVATE HEALTH FUNDS
